Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern the use of the Ghostmere website, the purchase of artwork, products, patterns, subscriptions, and participation in the Phantom Mail program. By purchasing from or interacting with Ghostmere, you agree to these terms.
All artwork, designs, crafts, patterns, and creative works produced by Ghostmere are protected by copyright unless otherwise stated. When purchasing an original artwork, handmade item, or commissioned piece, the buyer receives ownership of the physical item only. Ghostmere retains all intellectual property and copyright rights to the work.
Purchased artwork, handmade goods, and commissioned pieces are intended for personal, non-commercial use unless a commercial license has been explicitly purchased. Reproduction, redistribution, resale of the artwork itself, or commercial use of the artwork is not permitted without written permission.
Commercial licenses grant the buyer the right to use the licensed artwork for commercial purposes indefinitely. Commercial licenses apply only to the specific artwork purchased and do not transfer authorship or copyright ownership.
Some Ghostmere products are created using licensed patterns designed by other artists. Ghostmere has the legal right to sell finished physical items made from these patterns. The original patterns remain the intellectual property of their respective designers and are not sold, shared, or transferred by Ghostmere.
Ghostmere also offers original patterns for sale. Purchasing a Ghostmere pattern grants the buyer a license for personal use only unless otherwise stated. Ghostmere patterns may not be copied, shared, redistributed, resold, translated, or published in any form without explicit written permission. Buyers may sell finished physical products made from the pattern, but not the pattern itself.
Commissioned work is created collaboratively based on client input. Ghostmere reserves the right to accept, decline, or discontinue any commission request at our sole discretion. This includes requests that fall outside our artistic scope, conflict with creative or ethical boundaries, contain inappropriate subject matter, or are not feasible within the requested timeline or budget. Declining a commission does not require disclosure of specific reasoning.
Participation in the Phantom Mail program is subject to additional safety, privacy, and participation rules. All Phantom Mail correspondence is handled exclusively by Ghostmere staff members. Mailing information is used only for fulfilling Phantom Mail and will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
The default status of Phantom Mail is one-way correspondence, in which Ghostmere sends letters and packages to participants. Two-way correspondence is only available with the Pen Pal Add-On, which carries a 10% upcharge. The Pen Pal Add-On must be selected at the time of subscription purchase and cannot be added after the subscription has begun.
Participants who have not purchased the Pen Pal Add-On may not send mail to Ghostmere. Any unsolicited or unauthorized mail may be refused or discarded.
For safety reasons, do not include private or sensitive information in Phantom Mail correspondence. This includes personal documents, financial information, government identification, or other confidential data. Ghostmere does not accept money, cash equivalents, or large gifts through the Phantom Mail program.
Small, non-monetary items such as stationery, stickers, trinkets, artwork, or handmade items may be included only if they fit within the prepaid envelope provided. Items sent outside of the provided envelope will not be accepted. Requests for a prepaid mailer to send larger items may be made but are approved at the sole discretion of Ghostmere staff.
Any items sent to Ghostmere as part of Phantom Mail will not be returned. Do not send anything illegal, hazardous, harmful, perishable, malicious, or unsafe. Ghostmere is not responsible for items lost, damaged, or confiscated if sent in violation of these rules.
Participants enrolled in the Phantom Mail OC program may submit an original character (OC) for use during the subscription. If an OC is not submitted within one week of enrollment, Ghostmere will create an OC for the participant to be used for the duration of the program.
Any OC created by Ghostmere for the Phantom Mail OC program becomes the participant’s character. The participant may keep and continue to use the character indefinitely. The character is provided under a personal-use license and is not granted a commercial license unless explicitly purchased separately.
During the active subscription period, Ghostmere will use the provided or created OC as the default character for Phantom Mail correspondence. Ghostmere does not reclaim ownership of the character after the subscription ends.
The Social Club and Parcel Club tiers do not include roleplay. These tiers consist of staff-to-customer correspondence and curated mail experiences only. Roleplay interactions are exclusive to the Phantom Mail OC program and provide a fictional roleplay experience between a Ghostmere-portrayed staff character and the participant’s original character.
Ghostmere cannot guarantee delivery dates for Phantom Mail or other orders. All outgoing mail and shipments are processed and sent on Mondays. Orders placed on Fridays or weekends will ship the following Monday. This shipping schedule applies to all Ghostmere products unless otherwise stated.
Phantom Mail subscriptions purchased before the 25th of the month will generally receive the current month’s theme. Subscriptions purchased on or after the 25th may receive the following month’s theme depending on availability and remaining supplies.
Ghostmere is not responsible for injuries, damages, or harm resulting from the use or misuse of purchased items. Some products may contain sharp edges, small parts, choking hazards, or materials that may cause irritation or allergic reactions. Products are not intended for children or animals unless explicitly stated.
Ghostmere is not liable for damage caused by improper care, modification, wear, environmental exposure, or use outside the intended purpose of the item.
Refunds, exchanges, and trades are governed by Ghostmere’s Refund & Shop Policy. Please review that policy prior to purchase.
Use of the Ghostmere website must be lawful and respectful. Content may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without permission. Ghostmere reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time, with changes posted to this page.
